e2 Policies

The success of e2 depends on our community working and interacting in harmony. The e2 Terms of Use and Privacy Policy have been drafted to assure a successful experience for all. Using e2, or accessing content that resides on e2, binds you to the terms and conditions outlined herein and in the Terms of Use, Copyright Notice and to the Privacy Policy (see links below).

What You Should Do
  • Make the most of e2 and help others do the same.
  • Contribute content. Content submitted, posted, or displayed on or through e2 remains the property of its original and respective owners.
  • Properly organize new resources and postings by selecting the best and most logical place for them go, so that you and others can easily find them.
  • Use the features of e2 in the spirit in which they are intended.
  • Notify us, or the member in question, if you see evidence of e2 being used incorrectly.
What You Should Not Do
  • Do not post items in the wrong places or assign identifiers and features that are not fully accurate.
  • Do not upload files that you do not have explicit permission to distribute. You may describe and link to other resources that are publicly available on the Internet, but you must not incorrectly identify yourself as the copyright owner.
  • Do not post information that you know to be incorrect, false, or misleading.
  • Do not post information that may be considered unsafe, harmful, hostile, intimidating, violent, pornographic, offensive, defamatory, libellous, indecent, unlawful, objectionable, prohibited, or generally considered inappropriate for a general audience.
  • Do not impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your association or affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Do not attempt to interfere, hack, break, extend, or use e2 in any way that is contrary to the services e2 is intended to provide.
What Will Happen If You Do Not Follow the Terms of Use
  • We will generally fix honest mistakes by moving or editing Content, where and when appropriate.
  • In some cases, but not all, we will notify you that you are in violation and provide you a chance to correct the situation. We may also moderate your account for a limited time.
  • In cases of repeated misuse, or a single instance of malicious use, we will immediately terminate your account, restrict you from using e2 again in the future, and take additional appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities and legal prosecution.
Other Things You Should Know
  • e2 is free.
  • The Nova Scotia Community College and Explore Entrepreneurship (e2) does not claim ownership of Content you submit, post, or display on or through e2; instead, Content remains the property of its original and respective owners. However, this excludes Ideas and Feedback, as defined in the e2 Terms of Use below.
  • If you create a membership account, you agree that you may receive communications related to e2, such as administrative messages, service announcements, and the e2 Newsletter, and that these communications are considered part of e2 and you may not be able to opt out of receiving them. If you do not want to receive such communications, do not create a membership account. If already created, you can request that your membership account be deleted.
